Manchester City 3-0 Chelsea English Premier League 2015-16 LIVE EPL football score:
16:54
Chelsea are losing the game on the pitch and their heads off it
What a crazy end to the half. Costa, moments after running back on, is soon walking off again following the half-time whistle and he makes a beeline for Fernandinho following that elbow.
That's a bit rich from Costa who is known for sticking in the arm himself and he is held back by team-mates and Chelsea staff as the players trudge off down the tunnel.
Overall, a terrible half for Chelsea, really.

HALF-TIME: Manchester City 1-0 Chelsea
Chelsea's Nemanja Matic reaches for the ball in front of Manchester City's Jesus Navas
16:52
45+4min: Manchester City fans, already in a very good mood, show their humour as they chant 'you're getting sacked in the morning' to the medical staff.
16:48
45+2min: What a blood and thunder end to the first half. Two minutes are added on but we will need more as Costa now needs treatment after being caught by a Fernandinho elbow battling for a header.
The Man City midfielder is booked and Chelsea could end this half with nine men with Cahill still receiving treatment for a nosebleed. Chris Hughes is patching up the centre-back.
Costa is having his head bandaged.
16:47
45min: Wouldn't you know it. Chelsea need the medics!
Defending that free-kick, Cahill was punched in the face after colliding with Begovic and there are ironic cheers all round the stadium as the Blues medical team rush on to treat him, with blood pouring from his nose.
Jose Mourinho shows no reaction on the touchline.
Chelsea's new medical team rush on to treat Gary Cahill near the end of the first half Chris Hughes (centre) and Steve Hughes treat Gary Cahill inside the penalty box
16:44
44min: And Managala should make it 2-0! Kolarov's delivery, as ever, is superb into the box but Mangala can only head wide in front of Begovic in no-man's land.
16:43
41min: Eliaquim Mangala looked like a fish up a tree for much of last season but he has enjoyed a strong first half at the Etihad Stadium.
Ramires collects a cut-back inside the box, but the City defender quickly gets across to muscle him off the ball before Cesc Fabregas snaps a low shot wide.
It's been a poor afternoon for the Spaniard who moments earlier pumped a long and weak free-kick straight into the arms of Hart.

16:39
38min: Chelsea have seen more of the ball since conceding but they still look a rabble at the back. You fancy there will be a few more Manchester City chances to come before the half is out, let alone the game.
16:36
35min: Vincent Kompany is booked for a foul on Diego Costa, but Jose Mourinho is far from happy with his side's performance so far. Kurt Zouma is already warming up for the visitors.
Sergio Aguero tucks home the opening goal for Manchester City against Chelsea Aguero celebrates converting his opening goal at the fifth attempt along with Raheem Sterling

From Sportsmail's Ian Ladyman at the Etihad Stadium
'You will see more emphatic finishes from Aguero than that one but the beauty of the goal was in touches one and two.
'The first took the ball away from, and past, Gary Cahill while the second got it out from his feet as he was about to be challenged from behind and slide it precisely past Begovic.
'That goal was all about physical strength, subtlety and great balance. It’s not a bad combination.'
16:31
GOAL! MANCHESTER CITY 1-0 Chelsea
32min: It's been coming and with his FIFTH chance inside half-an-hour, Sergio Aguero strikes!
The striker plays a small one-two with Yaya Toure and after selling Gary Cahill short with a dummy tucks home into the bottom corner. Not even an in-form Begovic could get near that!

31min: How many crosses has Kolarov sent in today? The only difference with the latest is that it finds Toure and not Aguero, whose attempted volley is blocked.
16:30
30min: Chelsea break from a corner but they are still stumped in how to break down the hosts as Ivanovic and Willian see long range strikes blocked.
16:28
27min: Chelsea are still not offering anything in attack but they have at least settled following a five-minute spell in possession. Manchester City try to cut open the Blues on the right through Navas, but the winger is easily barged off the ball, resulting in a goal kick for the visitors.

From Sportsmail's Ian Ladyman at the Etihad Stadium
'Lovely moment there between Sergio Aguero and Asmir Begovic as the Manchester City striker applauds the Chelsea goalkeeper, who has now denied him three times in the first 16 minutes of this game.
'I always thought Begovic was a bit too good to go to a club where he would effectively be a number two. Maybe this proves it.
'Some terrific football by City, so far, who are overwhelming Chelsea with the numbers they are managing to pour in to each forward thrust.
'David Silva excellent so and it’s hard to see exactly what Chelsea’s plan is when it comes to dealing with the Spaniard.'
Manchester City's Sergio Aguero applauds Chelsea keeper Asmir Begovic after the keeper saved his shot Aguero looks on following a missed chance by the Argentine
16:22
21min: How many more cross are going to find Aguero? Kolarov has Branislav Ivanovic on toast this afternoon as he crosses a pacey ball towards the near post where Aguero cannot react in time as he diverts the ball wide.
16:20
20min: Chelsea have been outplayed so far, but can they force a chance here?
The answer is no. Diego Costa wins a free-kick out of Fernandinho but after City fail to clear, a near post cross is headed well off target by Nemanja Matic.
16:17
17min: Top save from Begovic! The Chelsea keeper has been his side's best player so far.
Aguero takes a pass with his back to goal from Kolarov, before poking the ball wide and blasting towards the bottom corner where the keeper leaps low to his left to block clear.
Moments later, Begovic AGAIN denies Aguero with a similar stop following a Jesus Navas cross.
A Manchester City fan turned up to the game as a doctor following the row that has engulfed the Chelsea medics
16:15
15min: The Blues finally get some time on the ball, but following slow build up play Cesc Fabregas chips a through ball into the box which no Chelsea player chases, handing Joe Hart an easy catch.
16:14
13min: This is a very encouraging start from a Manchester City perspective. They are continuing to push for an opening goal but still haven't created a chance as good as the one Aguero had inside the opening 15 seconds.
Chelsea by contrast have been non-existent as an attacking unit.
16:10
10min: Half-chance for Manchester City. Aleksandar Kolarov whips a free-kick into the box but Sergio Aguero just misses out on getting a vital touch as Asmir Begovic collects.
Manchester City's Raheem Sterling (right) takes on Branislav Ivanovic of Chelsea
16:09
7min: Diego Costa spent much of the Swansea game throwing a tantrum and he hasn't changed much in the opening few minutes here, punching the turf in frustration after failing to win a penalty having been challenged fairly for the ball.
For the record, dropped Chelsea physio Jon Fearn is at the Etihad Stadium but is not on the bench.
16:05
4min: Chelsea are struggling with the Manchester City pace so far. Raheem Sterling charges through the centre before laying the ball off for David Silva. The midfielder plays a through ball into the box but Cesar Azpilicueta clears over his own crossbar to concede a corner.
16:02
1min: Two chances in the opening 30 seconds for Manchester City! David Silva threads in Sergio Aguero, who leaves John Terry trailing only to rifle a shot straight at Asmir Begovic before Jesus Navas firs a follow up wide across goal.
